Since their inception in fall 2001 Geography has created and distributed aggressive music that is as piercing as it is frail--a nod designed to eviscerate. Geography has forged an individual style by focusing on elements of indie rock and the noisier side of hardcore rather than any metallic or nostalgic leanings. The band's propensity for experimenting with rhythmic syncopation lends an aspect akin to math rock while their attention to melody pulls the sound away from being indulgently technical.
